Wilco HOSA students volunteer day at Project C.U.R.E.

Today, Wilco HOSA students participated in a volunteer day at Project C.U.R.E., a nonprofit organization that provides medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the world. The experience was not only a fulfilling one for the students, but also a valuable opportunity for them to learn about global healthcare disparities and the importance of giving back to communities in need.

The Wilco HOSA students arrived at the Project C.U.R.E. warehouse bright and early, ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. They were greeted by the staff at Project C.U.R.E., who gave them a brief orientation and explained the importance of the work they would be doing that day.

The students were divided into small groups and assigned various tasks, such as sorting and organizing medical supplies, packing boxes for shipment, and loading pallets onto trucks. Despite the physically demanding nature of the work, the students approached each task with enthusiasm and a willingness to help.

As the day went on, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the impact that Project C.U.R.E. has on communities around the world. They heard stories of how life-saving medical equipment and supplies provided by the organization have improved the quality of healthcare in remote villages and underserved regions.

For many of the Wilco HOSA students, the volunteer day at Project C.U.R.E. was a transformative experience. It opened their eyes to the harsh realities faced by millions of people who do not have access to basic healthcare services, and inspired them to do more to make a positive difference in the world.

At the end of the day, the students reflected on their experience and shared their thoughts on how they could continue to support organizations like Project C.U.R.E. in the future. Many expressed a desire to volunteer again, or to donate money or supplies to help further the organization's mission.

Overall, the Wilco HOSA students volunteer day at Project C.U.R.E. was a resounding success. It not only allowed the students to give back to a worthy cause, but also empowered them to become more compassionate and socially conscious individuals. This experience will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the students, inspiring them to continue to work towards creating positive change in the world.

Thank you to the HOSA students who volunteered and thank you to Wilco instructors Amanda Ramsden and Michelle Sharp.  Today,  was a great way to begin the Thanksgiving Holiday by serving our community and its healthcare needs community-wide!
