• Fire Science Instructor, Mark Oglesby recognized for 15 years of Service

Mark Oglesby with wife, Julia Oglesby recognized for 15 years of service at Wilco Area Career Center. Dr. Elizabeth Kaufman awarded and thanked Mark for his dedication with a custom sign to display.  Mark began his career in education in 2006 as a fire science instructor and continues to share his passion for being a first responder with his students. Mark began his first responder career at the age of 14 in the cadet program and continued for 41 years earning the status of lieutenant.  Mark educates his students with skills needed to prepare them to be well rounded first responders. His most valuable share is his work ethic and relationship building.  

Mark believes that all students must have an equal opportunity for a high-quality education. All students must have access to a relevant and rigorous curriculum that will allow them to acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in the post-secondary experience of their choice.
